Kim Barnes has spent more than 30 years on the air! Now, she coaches clients for on-camera impact. She works with executives, entrepreneurs, speakers and small business owners who want to improve their on-camera presence for video, virtual presentations and media interviews, as well as their overall communication skills.
Kim was an award-winning reporter and news anchor for 15 years, including more than a decade at KVUE in Austin. Since leaving news, Kim is also seen in corporate videos, commercials and also does voiceover work. Kim also taught television news reporting at The University of Texas (her alma mater). That’s also where she met her husband, former sportscaster Mike Barnes, but that’s a really long story! The dynamic duo works together as Barnes Team Media.
They have also founded Parenting Aging Parents. It’s a community created to inform and support those who are caring for their aging parents since it can be challenging and confusing. The website and private Facebook group helps caregivers by providing expert interviews, resources and a place to share experiences and insights so they know they’re not alone.
Kim and Mike have two children – a son who graduated from Texas A&M and a daughter who graduated from UT!
