This month's PWOW luncheon speaker is

Cathy Heckenlively, DNP, MHA, RN

Chief Administrative Officer, Dell Children’s Medical Center North

Cathy will be speaking to us about Transformational Leadership. 

She will help us understand how to be the leader we would want

to work for.

Cathy is a seasoned healthcare professional who progressively grew in her career from a frontline registered nurse to executive leadership. She is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for Dell Children’s Medical Center North, a new state-of-the-art pediatric hospital in North Austin. In her role, Cathy has responsibility to oversee all clinical and operational departments for the campus. Prior to joining Dell Children’s, Cathy served in progressive roles at The Children’s Hospital at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Just prior to coming to Dell Children’s she served as the executive director for five years. Cathy holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University, a Masters degree in Nursing and a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In addition to her professional roles, Cathy is an active member of the YMCA Board, contributing to community health and wellness initiatives. She has recently been asked to serve on the Advisory Board for American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University. Outside of work Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff and their family, traveling, music, and serving in several roles in her church.
